Belfast International Airport upgrades food and beverage facilities with SSP
Belfast International Airport has announced a major fit-out of its hospitality spaces, introducing a new 300-cover bar and restaurant under a ten-year contract with SSP Group.
The works are part of the airport’s ongoing five-year £100 million regeneration programme led by owner Vinci.
The upgrades follow the recent opening of the ‘Soul and Grain’ coffee bar and the refurbishment of the Co Antrim terminal. Completed elements of the programme include a new security hall, arrivals lobby, and duty free area, with further works focusing on the Lagan Bar area, which is being expanded to increase capacity.
Dan Owens, Chief Executive of Belfast International Airport, said: “Northern Ireland is famous the world over for its hospitality and fantastic produce and we want to reflect that in the Airport through this next phase of investment. We are committed to ensuring that every passenger has a memorable experience when travelling and an elevated food and beverage offering is central to that.”
Kari Daniels, CEO of SSP UK & Ireland, added: “We have worked with Belfast International Airport for over two decades, so we’re excited to be growing our footprint together once again at such a pivotal moment in the airport’s history. The changes we’re making as part of its redevelopment will showcase the best Northern Ireland has to offer for those living in and visiting the city.”
Starbucks and Burger King outlets will remain operational, complemented by the new casual dining concept aimed at families and larger groups.
