Malaysian property and hospitality firm Exsim Hospitality Bhd has awarded a RM4.38 million (€969,000) interior fit-out subcontract for residential apartment units in Kuala Lumpur, as the company advances a programme of targeted asset enhancement across its property portfolio.

The Star reports that the subcontract has been awarded by Exsim Concepto Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Exsim Hospitality, to Sunthesis Sdn Bhd, following a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

The scope of works covers the supply, fabrication, delivery and installation of interior fit-out works and window treatment for apartment units at Jalan Liew Weng Chee in Kuala Lumpur. Works are scheduled to commence on 25 May 2026 and reach completion by 15 September 2026, representing a four-month delivery programme. A defects liability period of 27 months will apply from the date of practical completion, providing a structured quality assurance framework beyond handover.

Exsim Hospitality confirmed that the subcontract is not expected to have a material impact on the group's financial position for the current financial year, though it will contribute positively to revenue across the contract period.

The award reflects the company's stated strategy of enhancing the value of its hospitality and property assets through selective upgrading and refurbishment works. Rather than large-scale speculative development, the approach targets incremental improvements to existing assets, a model increasingly favoured by regional property operators seeking to protect yield and extend asset life cycles in competitive urban markets.
