McCue completes restaurant fit-out at Westfield Hamburg in European portfolio expansion

Northern Ireland fit-out specialist McCue has delivered the interior fit-out of Elemente, a new restaurant at Westfield Hamburg-Überseequartier in Germany, extending the Co. Antrim firm's presence across the European hospitality and retail fit-out sector.

Construction Ireland reports that McCue was appointed main contractor by URW (Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield), working alongside Rhubarb Hospitality Collection and the wider professional team on one of Europe's most anticipated mixed-use destinations.

Rhubarb Hospitality Collection, whose portfolio includes Sky Garden and Headspace at The Shard in London, brings a track record in high-profile, design-led hospitality environments. McCue's appointment as main contractor reflects confidence in the Carrickfergus firm's ability to execute to the exacting standards the Rhubarb brand demands across its international estate.

The scope of works encompassed the manufacture and installation of bespoke joinery throughout the restaurant, produced entirely at McCue's Carrickfergus workshop. The project is a tangible demonstration of the firm's integrated delivery model, combining in-house project management, specialist manufacture and skilled site installation under a single point of accountability, a proposition that carries growing commercial appeal for international operators managing complex, multi-site rollouts.
