Industry NewsNorDan Ireland increases turnover to €63.9m as headcount rises to 146 amid accelerated investment
Ireland-based NorDan Ireland, the Irish arm of Norwegian window and door supplier NorDan, increased turnover to €63.9 million in 2025, up 33 per cent from €48 million a year earlier, the Belfast Telegraph reported.
Headcount at the Irish operation rose from 108 to 146 over the same period, reflecting continued growth despite a slowdown in parts of the housing sector. The company also accelerated investment, committing €4.07 million to its Irish business in 2025, with a further €1.2 million planned for 2026. That compares with €573,000 in 2024 and €445,000 in 2023, representing a sharp increase in spending over two years.
NorDan supplies windows and doors to a number of contractors in Ireland, including John Sisk & Son, Cairn Homes, Walls Construction and Bennett Construction. Its work spans both residential and commercial projects, alongside a growing replacement and upgrade segment.
Brian Cleary, financial director at NorDan Ireland, said demand is being driven by a more selective pipeline of projects rather than a full slowdown. "What we are seeing is not a market that has stalled completely," Cleary said. "It is a market that has become more focused. Some projects are delayed, but others are moving ahead."
Cleary added that demand is also being supported by upgrade works, as building owners and developers place more focus on energy performance and durability. "There is also steady demand coming from upgrade work, where energy performance, durability and long-term value have become much more important for owners, developers and contractors alike," Cleary said.
The company said it has created a two-track market with new-build activity concentrated among well-capitalised developers and large contractors, whilst a separate stream of demand comes from refurbishment and retrofit projects.
