TikTok Dublin Office comes to life with vibrant SAS Ceiling Solutions
TikTok has officially taken up residence in The Sorting Office at Dublin’s Grand Canal Dock, unveiling a workspace that reflects creativity, collaboration, and bold design. The new office features over 11,000sqm of SAS International ceiling solutions, combining standard and bespoke products to create a visually striking and acoustically comfortable environment.
Designed by Perkins + Will, the building maximises natural light, integrates vibrant colour, and incorporates playful ceiling designs that enhance employee engagement. Above work areas, colourful SAS130 Mesh rafts add dynamic shapes and finishes, weaving through corridors and workstations while integrating building services seamlessly. These rafts provide a sense of energy and visual intrigue that mirrors TikTok’s mission to inspire creativity and bring joy.
Open-plan areas feature SAS330 rafts with large-format panels, delivering Class A acoustic absorption alongside bespoke lighting troughs. In some areas, these are layered with SAS130 rafts to create a multi-dimensional ceiling experience that balances function with visual impact.
Over the canteen seating, a bespoke double-lattice ceiling using SAS740 linear systems in Light Oak from the WoodTones sublimation range provides timber-like aesthetics while overcoming the limitations of real timber, including fire performance and long-term stability.
Breakout and meeting spaces feature a hybrid SAS740 and SAS330 configuration in RAL Silk Grey, creating a unique coffered ceiling effect. SAS740i integrated lighting and fine mesh tiles enhance acoustics, reflection, and visual texture, while lounge areas feature SAS500 WoodTones baffles paired with SAS600 rafts in bright white PPC, optimising light flow and warmth throughout.
Sustainability underpins the design, with LEED Platinum certification and compliance with Ireland’s Nearly Zero Energy Buildings standard. The office also meets WELL-Gold standards, integrating biophilic design, natural light, and varied workspaces to improve employee wellbeing and productivity.
SAS International has partnered with architects, main contractors, and sub-contractors across multiple landmark Irish projects, building long-term trust through quality, service, and technical expertise.
