Irish aviation training company Airline Pilot Club has rebranded as Amris Aviation, marking a strategic shift toward a broader focus on aviation modelling, risk and intelligence while retaining its existing services, team and customer commitments.

According to AFM.aero, the rebrand also sees the company's data platform previously known as Amelia relaunched as the Amris Competency Management System, repositioned as the company's core intelligence tool for crew performance monitoring and emerging risk identification.

Captain Andy O'Shea, executive chairman of Amris Aviation, said the new name reflected what the company had been building from the outset. "Amris Aviation represents what we have been building from the start: a trusted partner in airline pilot development and performance, founded on the core values of competence, confidence and character," he said.

Cedric Paillard, CEO of Amris Aviation, said the competency management system was designed to move aviation organisations from fragmented observation to structured, traceable insight. "Validated, traceable, and aligned to EBTA/CBTA that supports better training decisions and stronger safety outcomes," he said.

The Amris Aviation ecosystem now encompasses four components: the Amris Competency Management System for evidence-led decision intelligence; the Airline Pilot Club, retained as an entry community for early-stage pilots; Amris Academy, a federated network of quality-assured approved training organisations; and the Airline Ready Pilot Pool, a structured career transition programme connecting graduate pilots with airlines through validated readiness assessments.

The rebrand coincides with the company's participation at the World Aviation Training Summit in Orlando, Florida, running from 4 to 7 May 2026, where Paillard will present on AI applications in competency-based and cabin crew training.
